Want to Send a Thank-You Note to Edwards? Mitt?

We know many of you are still hurting over the departure of John Edwards from the campaign.

So why not send him a thank-you note? You know, like one of those your most annoying co-worker makes you sign for the dork in the next cube? Well, now you can. (If you think we’re starting to sound like an infomercial here, just wait, it gets worse.) Check out SquidNote, the online group card creation from a new Menlo Park startup launched in late November.

The idea to send Edwards a thank you note started out as a stray brainstorming idea (read: way to gin up some publicity) at SquidNote. (Hey, it worked!) So they sent the card to an Edwards blogger “and within minutes, hundreds of people signed the card,” said SquidNote founder John Anderson. Now it is posted at the Edwards website.

Is there a “Thank You Mitt” card in the works now that he’s gone? Said Anderson: “That’s a good idea, we probably should start one of those.”
