If you woke up this morning to a foul smell, the Met Office has an explanation: stinking winds sweeping the south east, and coming from Europe. According to meteorologists there, easterly winds blowing across land have picked up the smell from agricultural and industrial pollution. It’s a story that has caused quite a buzz across the web – and Sky’s news desk is looking into it. Our own weather expert Francis Wilson will explain.
