Police say a man walked into police custody and confessed to killing his entire family, except his mother-in-law.

May 14 – Police in the Austrian capital Vienna say a man has admitted killing five members of his own family – some with an axe.

The 39-year old reportedly walked into a police station in the early hours of Wednesday morning and told the police that they would find the bodies of his wife and his 7-year-old daughter in his house.

The bodies of the man’s parents were later found in the town of Ansfelden in Upper Austria, as well as his father-in-law, who was found in a house in the city of Linz.
