The final version of the $300 billion farm bill goes to the House floor Wednesday, debate starting 10:30 a.m EST. It is a big deal, setting U.S. food policy for the next five years. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, will aim for 290 votes, or two-thirds of the House, to reach the magic number to override a Bush veto.
