One of the stories floating around the web today tells of a shop owner in the US, who claims he is losing $1,000 a week in merchandise to thieves.

When he had caught his thieves, Mr Fidanque began telling them he would call the police unless they gave him one of their shoes. I think given that option, most thieves would hand over a shoe!

Anyway, it turns out Mr Fidanque got into trouble with the police, who told him that what he was doing was just as bad as them and if he didn’t stop he could face charges.
