U.S. missiles for Eastern Europe: Russia’s angry, and Iran is rumbling
That treaty that U.S. Secretary of State and Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg signed in Prague yesterday calls for the building of an American-military radar base in the Czech Republic, a facility the Bush administration claims would be part of an “anti-missile shield in Europe [that] would protect the [United States] and a large part of Europe against hostile missiles” - are there any other kind? - that “countries such as Iran might launch.” (ÄŒeskéNoviny.cz)
