Justin Timberlake has dismissed Ashton Kutcher’s claims that he popularised trucker caps.

The popstar has insisted that he and friend Trace Ayala, his partner in the William Rast clothing company, brought the headwear back into fashion.

Timberlake told Fashion Rocks magazine: “It’s funny. I keep hearing Ashton Kutcher say how he was responsible for trucker caps. I’ve heard him make that statement before.

“Trace and I were wearing them when we were 17. We just kind of didn’t care. We kind of still don’t.”
