Dannii Minogue has confessed that she felt bullied by the UK press during her time on Home And Away.

The X Factor judge claimed that being called overweight by the tabloids almost pushed her towards anorexia, but she turned back after recalling how a friend was hospitalised with the eating disorder.

“I got a lot of stick from the UK press, saying I was fat,” she told Thomas Cook Travel Magazine. “I look back on pictures and I was certainly bigger than I am now, but I felt good about myself, so I found it a bit weird that other people had a problem with it.

“A friend at school had anorexia, was in hospital and almost died. Seeing that made me think, ‘I don’t want that to happen to me’.”
