It only took about a week, but the McCain campaign — through a blogger on its campaign site — now says that “It does now seem that Barack Obama snubbed the troops for reasons other than a lack of photo-op potential, but the initial reports were less clear.” Here’s a good dissection of how such “tom-foolery” germinates and blooms through the media food chain. We stand corrected on our own log that we tossed on this fire.
