Dem Operatives Making Moves

It’s presidential campaign season, and that means the critical campaign operatives are being sent on missions to new places to handle new challenges.

So this puts Debbie Mesloh, who has been the veteran California press aide to Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and longtime spokeswoman for San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris (a leading Obama endorser), out and about around the nation for Obama through the grueling primary season.

Now she’s landed with her well-worn suitcase in competitive Missouri to take on press operations in that battleground state, where Obama’s campaign has 29 offices, four times the number listed for McCain. Polls show the state — which has only voted for a Democratic presidential candidate three times in the last 4 decades — to be close, so Mesloh should be one busy operative.

And in San Francisco, Luis Vizcaino, the former press contact for Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign, has been called in to assist Harris in the DA’s office.
