  • The Georgia conflict and the US proaganda , continually repeated by the Wests Media, shows we NO longer have a media industry that wants to report trurthfully and objectively. Where are all the satelitte pictures from the US to prove there assertion that Russia started this conflict. Remember Iraq where they where only too keen to fill up our TV’s which all their , what we now know to be Bull ****.\nThe US have continually threatened Russia since Mr Bush came to power in an undemocratic election, with expanding NATO in Russias back yard, wants to put Missles in Poland, and continually moving the goalposts over Russias WTO accesstion.\nLook at the Hissy fit the US had over missles in Cuba, they nearly started WW111 over that, They invaded the soverign territory of Iraq, engineered regrimme change in many places, used their money to subvert UN sanctions in Africa, installed their puppets in many countires also to meet their agenda globally.\nIts clear the Russians have had enough of

  • The Russians have to be stopped before they will invade other regions. Because of the oil and gas situation they think that they can control the world.

  • Marian, check your history. The Americans only got in the war because they were bombed by a country saying no to them. They only backed the british in the war, because of a loan, that will be repaid for a considerable time yet. They invaded Afghanistan and Iraq for the oil, drugs and the revenue and deals that can be got from it. They are only motivated by money, they do not give a damn for anyone including their own people. This does not just include New Orleans, but the american women and children who starve on its streets, A health service provided only with insurances and money, the barbaric act of the death penalty that includes children. When they have a right to get involved, ok, but until then they should keep their noses out and there comments to themselves. Though Action for ‘good’, which does not involve money, deals and commies, may prove to be more acceptable.

  • I think Georgia is a lost cause now because the Russians clearly have no intention to leave the country. Only a military intervention will oust them and this might well lead to WWIII. What is important is to stop them doing the same to the Ukraine, Poland & other former Soviet satellite states by deploying missiles and troops and tank divisions on the ground in Europe as well as reinforcing the N. Atlantic fleet . We must also stop importing gas and oil from Russia and import from other countries such as Norway, the UK , S.Arabia etc., and by doing this we will weaken Russia economically. Eventually, the Russians may rid themselves of their ex KGB Director Putin and become a country we can all live with in peace but in reality that seems a long way off now.

  • Marian – That’s an interesting view of what happened in WWII. The US actually got involved in the war because Japan bombed the hell out of them. They didn’t get involved earlier because at the time almost half of the population of the US had German ancestry! And for every shady ‘Cold War’ stunt by Russia, the US had their own. You seem to forget that they funded and trained the Taliban to resist Russian troops in Afghanistan, as well as sell weapons to both Iraq and Iran during their war. Everybody is guilty and everybody plays dirty! On the subject above, surely the Georgians could produce evidence that the Russians are moving further into their country. Doesn’t anybody there have a camera!? Show us some pictures and then maybe the whole world would know for sure.
