Conservatives to obese Britons: “Monitor yourselves!” (Fat chance?)

The Labour Party controls Britain’s government today, not the Conservative Party whose members are commonly known as the “Tories.” In the British parliamentary system, in which parties out of power play a sharply defined role as the political opposition, these organizations usually have their own “shadow” line-up of members of Parliament who occupy themselves with various policy-concern areas; those different policy portfolios mirror those of the members of the actual prime minister’s cabinet.
