Conservatives are already gleefully referring to the current economic crisis as “Obama’s recession” – disingenuously and dishonestly, of course, as they make a point of not mentioning that its causes are rooted in Republican policies that date back to the Reagan era and to the inescapable fact that the Bush-Cheney gang, during eight years of reckless rule, has cleaned out the federal treasury through its in-your-face war profiteering and unbridled expansion of the government.
