Boy, 14, shot dead in Sydney

A 14-year-old boy is dead after a shooting at Orangeville in Sydney’s south-west.

Police say they were called to an address in Silverdale Road at 10.15pm AEDT on Saturday night after the boy was shot.

Ambulance officers treated him but he died.

A second 14-year-old boy was arrested at the premises and taken to Camden Police Station, where he is assisting police with the investigation.

Police have seized a firearm and a crime scene has been set up at the residence, as inquiries continue.
