Couple plan world’s smallest cinema

A couple have unveiled plans to build one of the world’s smallest cinemas in the back garden of their end-terrace house.
An age gap of nearly 40 years separates Edna Martin, 73, and her 35-year-old husband Simon, but they claim that their “artistic temperaments” make the relationship work.
The couple said that they hope the 17-seat Savoy Lounge cinema, which is housed in a purpose-built extension to their home, will attract like-minded local film enthusiasts.
Silent films from the 1920s and ’30s will be shown, accompanied by Simon on his restored Compton organ.
