Lynn, God is not in control, the pilot is. Get over it and get real.

The three recent plane incidents (landing on the Hudson, crash in Buffalo, and now the Turkish Airways crash) point to just how important experience counts. The Hudson landing could have been far more disastrous has it not been for the wise and experienced Captain S. He recognized the problem and he knew how to deal with it. No two plane crashes are alike due to the human element. What one pilot does in a split second is probably not what another would do. Another pilot may have tried to make it all the way back to an airport but Captain S. made a better decision that save every life on the plane. We’ll never know just how many crashes result from a decision that would have saved a plane had the decision been made a few seconds earlier or a few seconds later, i.e., lowering landing gear that apparently changes the air dynamics, etc. But when I think of the Hudson landing, I just console myself with the thought that God is still in control….

How come the pilots died ? – the cockpit looked least damaged and they say the plane landed tail first – when they do find out the cause will we hear about it anyway ? Sympathy to families of deceased and injured,

I dont want to add too much, just to say that what i know is, if an aircraft is on final approach, as this was, and came down like this did, then there are 2 reasons, 1: total loss of power, 2: incredible down force, extreme weather. Now they said it was foggy, which suggest that there was no wind, and so conditions should have been calm, so, and again i guess, but looking at the pictures i see the engines are in front of the crashed aircraft, meaning they must have had some thrust at the time of impact, or they would be left behind.. so, i am thinking a loss of power on final, it returns again but too late, pulling the nose up, but can do nothing to save the striken aircraft. God rest there soles.

Don’t think so Richard Hall – surely if they were low on fuel a warning light would come on and just because there was no fire does not mean there was no fuel. Let’s just leave it to the experts to figure out what really happened. My condolences to the families of the victims and my thoughts are with those that are injured.
