Obama nominates Sotomayor to Supreme Court

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama nominated Appeals Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court, selecting a woman who would be the court’s first Latino to replace retiring Justice David Souter.
