Sarah Palin has appeared before her Alaskan public for the last time as Governor and we still have no guarantees that she will ever stand for public office again.

By way of consolation, she offered one last verbal tic as she thanked the good people of Fairbanks on Sunday. At 8 mins 20 in this video she does something very odd indeed. Is it just us or does she quickly and quietly congratulate herself for remembering to repeat a slogan? (Any other suggestions gratefully received below)

The slogan in question didn’t do much good in the election, but on eBay you can still seek solace in a “New Leadership” badge.
