An independent review by the Food Standards Agency today reports that there are no significant nutritional or health benefits to be had from organic food.

The conclusion was reached after a team of researchers at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine reviewed all papers published over the last 50 years relating to nutrient content and health differences between organic and non-organic produce.

So has all the extra money been in vain? Or is the FSA an old stick in the mud to whom E numbers are more acceptable than F words?
