Two letters containing white powder were discovered at the UN consulates of Britain and Germany yesterday — a day after three other diplomatic missions in New York received similar missives.

The latest letters — like the ones sent to the consulates of France, Austria and Uzbekistan — are believed part of a hoax.

Testing was completed on the first set of letters — and the powder was found to be flour. The powder in the new letters is also believed harmless.

Some of the letters bore a one-line message: “Al-Qaeda FBI in America.”
