Let’s just leave it at `Happy Holidays,’ shall we?

Well, it’s that time of year again, and I, for one, am going to continue wishing people “Happy Holidays” and “Season’s Greetings,” no matter what the zealots say.
I prefer these salutations to the more specific alternatives — “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Hanukkah” and so on. I find them safely inclusive — you never can be sure who celebrates what anymore. And even when I am sure, I favor “Happy Holidays” for its tacit message that the merriment and wonder of this season belong to all.
And so, to the American Atheists Inc., I say enough already with your whining about the “War on Solstice.”
