Never, in the history of newspapers, have so many red arrows appeared against reader’s comments, as is evident by this news item.
It was alleged that the Twin Towers demolition was the work of ten individuals.
Never mind the ten who supposedly caused the Twin Towers to crumble to earth – it is the other 400,000,000 I am bothered about.
X-raying airlines passengers will do precious little to stop the march of terrorism.

i cant understand what the big fuss is about and why everyone is under rating the positive comments about the scanners. especially after what happened on xmas day. yes there maybe some possible dangers of radiation from the xrays but these days everything is a health threat. i am cabin crew, so you can imagine the amount of times i will have to pass through them but i am happy to. i am sure when they are first introduced there will be delays but eventually it will be become a normal part of travel.
i find it hard to believe that many of the people who are commenting travel by plane more than a handful of times every year so whats the big deal? is it really going to inconvenience your lives that much?im sure the families and friends of the unfortunate victims of 9/11 wouldnt have such a problem with it. i also believe children should be put through the scanners, all airport workers are subjected to rigorous background checks and the images will only be on screen for a matter of seconds

“Ah but it wont affect minorities as it effects their human rights.”
A statement based purely on prejudice. Nowhere is it mentioned in any article of any exemptions apart from children.

It would be easier to have a strip search done instead.

I can’t understand the point of security checking people before they enter the duty free area. It wouldn’t take a genius to get the components of a bomb through using multiple passengers booked on other flights and then to assemble it before boarding. The place where security checks are needed is immediately before passengers board the plane.
In any case, the Americans knew that the Nigerian guy was coming and failed to do anything about it.
