Gordon Brown is Worst-Dressed of 2009

The British prime minister is missing his mojo.
That’s the verdict of GQ magazine, which anointed Gordon Brown the worst-dressed man of the year. Sure, his shabby suiting is exaggerated by his lack of charisma and posture deficiencies, but Brown is targeted for putting a bad face on the British man. The Telegraph sums up:
“Arctic Monkey Alex Turner, Take That, Bond star Daniel Craig, the Prince of Wales and even pint-sized Ronnie Corbett made it into the best-dressed list.
But Britain’s Prime Minister moves up the rankings from third worst-dressed last year to being the worst-dressed man in the 2010 poll, for being ‘anything but a prime example of British style’.”
And Brown’s ally, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, was awarded third-worst for using lifts in his shoes to boost his 5’5″ frame. Eighth place? North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il, proving that the Mao suit is and will always be tres gauche.
But in a British election year, GQ seems to be casting a vote of its own: Conservative Party leader and key Labour challenger David Cameron, who’s been politically nipping at Brown’s heels for some time now, was eighth-place on the best-dressed list.
