Joe McElderry has revealed that he is eager to work with Ryan Tedder on his debut album.
The X Factor winner praised the OneRepublic star, who wrote ‘Bleeding Love’ for Leona Lewis and ‘Halo’ for Beyoncé.
“I would love Simon [Cowell] to put me with Ryan Tedder for my album’s ballads because he is an amazing songwriter,” McElderry told the Daily Star.
The 18-year-old, who starts ‘The X Factor Live’ tour on February 15, insisted that he will not rush the release of his album.
“There are meetings about it now. The plan is for my album to come out after the tour. It’s going to be similar to what they’ve done for the past couple of years so it gives you time to do it,” he said.
McElderry recently revealed that he is in regular contact with his X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole.
