The US Air Force needs to immediately airdrop water and other supplies such as food and medicine to wretched quake survivors. Otherwise, as the 72 hour milestone approaches in about 8 hours, the death toll looks set to rise astronomically. Until such time as the airport and port become unclogged, an emergency airdrop looks like the only alternative.

Maybe if George W. Bush hadn’t overthrown the Haitian government and installed a corrupt president, we might have had better relations with them and perhaps more economic ties which would have helped in crisis.
Apparently Dubya’s boy in Haiti turned out to be a loser. People there are asking where’s their president?

George W. Bush is responsible for these deaths, the deaths of those welfare recipients left behind in Louisiana’s Hurricane and don’t forget about all of the soldiers… those poor soldiers… Cheney and bush need to be strung up from the highest tree… next to their family members.

The crisis in Haiti has NOTHING to do with the current White House administration. It is a tragedy and the people there have nothing and need our help. Where is your humanity fas1? I supposed it’s in the same place as your brain-up your a..

Oh whine whine whine. Get over it. Both my husband and myself are unemployed and we don’t spend our time whining! All the pictures I have seen show the Haitians standing around waiting for someone else to help them. What’s that about? Blocking streets with dead bodies so the help can’t get to the people who need it! Rioting because the help is not there yet to give them charity! Get off your collective butts and help yourselves and each other. Help is on the way but that takes time. YOU have to help yourselves too.

Let’s be real here, Haiti is, and has been for some time, the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. There are very few reasons for us to nurture a financial relationship with these people. Yes, it’s tragic that this happened, but are you seriously blaming any part of the relief effort, beit slow or otherwise, on any presidential office? That’s just ignorant, devisive, political bull. Yes, we as a nation have issues. And no matter how you want to look at it both political parties are to blame for the current state of America, if anyone thinks otherwise they’re to be grouped with the idiots and bufoons.

We are sending money to Haiti, relief efforts are hampered by a small airport trying to handle a lot of traffic. Why have a big airport in the poorest nation in the region? No one goes there, it’s not a big tourist destination. The relief efforts in Haiti are hampered by Haiti’s infrastructure more than anything else.

I truly hope that the aid from the UN and our assistance brings some sort of relief to the people of Haiti’s suffering.

fos1,

Your rant was crazy sounding, and jumped from subject to subject like you had smoked too much meth. Try not to be such a hateful conspiracy theorist. No president has ever been free of corruption. You are so full of SH _ _ it’s astounding.

I’m with Gerald, they have helicopters. Why aren’t they dropping supplies from the air in the remote, hard to reach areas? It looks like a party at that airport, nobody really getting anything done with loads of stuff just piled up. Very un-organized!
