Delphic have declared that they are desperate to play at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Having broken into the top ten of the UK album charts with debut LP Acolyte on Sunday, the Manchester band revealed that they have a very clear goal in the coming year.

Singer James Cook told Gigwise: “I grew up going to Glastonbury and we didn’t get to play there last year so I really, really want to play there this year.”

Cook went on to add that appearing at the Somerset event is crucial to “establishing yourself as a band rather than just being talked up by the media”.
