Mos Def has confirmed plans to embark on a short UK tour in April.

The rapper and sometime actor will play a trio of gigs, kicking off in Glasgow before heading on to Bristol and concluding later that month with a show in London, which was confirmed last month.

Mos Def is currently promoting his 2009 album The Ecstatic and also recently contributed vocals to the new Gorillaz single ‘Stylo’.

Mos Def will play the following dates:

• Glasgow Academy (13)
• Bristol Academy (14)
• London Shepherds Bush Empire (15)
