People in radio commercials are different from you and me

From a commercial running now on local radio stations –
Man: Oh, hey, did you hear about Bill?
Woman: No, why? Did he run another marathon or something?
Man: Ah, no actually, he had a heart attack last night
Woman: Seriously? He’s just about the healthiest person I know.
“Seriously?” Seriously? You learn your friend has a heart attack and the next words out of your mouth aren’t “My God, how’s he doing?”Â
The announcer then interjects to promote a heart wellness seminar program. Then, it’s back to the man and woman.
Man: I can’t believe we’re getting to the age when we need to worry about heart disease.
Woman: I know! I still feel so young….I think I’d better schedule a heart screening. You in?
Man:Â You bet!
This self-absorbed pair had better find out if they have hearts first.
