Do you think college basketball’s rules are perfect, or would you
change a few rules? I’d like to see a drastic limit on timeouts in the
last minute of games. Force coaches and players to anticipate more, keep the flow of the game going. In football they need timeouts at the ends of games to prevent the clock from running, but in basketball the timeout is used mostly to plan the next play or psych out the free throw shooter. I say one full timeout in the final minute; all other remaining timeouts must be 15 seconds and used only for substitution purposes.
