What’s this “honorable” nonsense, anyway? Brown isn’t the only elected pol who uses this presumptuous, nearly monarchical designation, so I don’t mean to single her out. But come on. The conceit in American is that an elected public official is an employee of the people, not their lord and master who must be honored.
