Obama to Twister-Ravaged Town: ‘We’re Not Going Anywhere’

President Obama visited Joplin, Mo., today, a week after a massive tornado ripped through the town and surrounding areas. As of Sunday evening, 39 people remained unaccounted for, four reported dead by their families yet unconfirmed by authorities, and more than 130 confirmed dead from the EF-5 tornado packing 200 mph winds that injured more than 900 people. At a memorial service, Obama lauded the heroics of local citizens and of FEMA director Craig Fugate in responding to the tragedy. More of his remarks:
